Eaton Corporation Program Manager II in Hadapsar, India
What you’ll do:
Responsible for leading a team and driving successful execution of the NPD (New Product Development), NTI (New Technology Introduction) Project(s)/Program(s) and sustaining projects and their budget allocation. Work with global counterparts and lead the Integrated Product Team(s) to drive customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and life of the program financial performance by managing customer programs, contracts, and business relationships.
Essential Functions
• Lead a team of 6-8 members and demonstrate leadership and accountability in varied portfolios.
• Manage the Lifecycle execution of the New Products Introduction program(s) and New Technology programs and projects for Aerospace business.
• Execute IPT leadership across the Project(s). Seeks team input to promote rapid resolution to issues. Provides feedback on performance indicators.
• Establish objectives and goals and provide direction to the team in areas of customer concerns, potential changes in scope and risk assessment.
• Manage effective customer communications. Improve organization responsiveness to customer requirements. Communication & manage customer expectations and contractual commitments internal to the business.
• Ensure standard program management processes are utilized by the team. Conduct PM reviews, prepare & publish PM metrics and reports.
• Chalk out the PM capability roadmap and build on improving the existing knowledge areas.
• Play a key role in developing business proposals and executing the overall program portfolio.
• Control efforts and expenditures within limitations of project budget responsibilities.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure timely deliverables on project related issues.
• Lead the creation of the integrated project plans & schedules, project budget in partnership with the team and the organization.
Qualifications:
• Graduate/ Post Graduate Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering
• Overall 16-20 years of experience, Min 10-12 years of Program Management and New Product Introduction, New Technology Introduction experience
Skills:
Preferred Qualifications:
• Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) will be an added advantage
• Strong product knowledge and acumen.
• Strong execution experience and knowledge of process towards achieving deliverables.
• Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change within own team and across multiple sites and customers globally.
• Portfolio, Program & PM methodologies, processes and tools, DFSS, analytical thinking
• Knowledge of financials to manage Profit & Loss, ATD, EAC, Gross Margin, NPV & IRR for a project/program
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written ability.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Knowledge of the Aerospace industry.
