Eaton Corporation Lead Engineer - Electronics in Hadapsar, India

What you’ll do:

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027.   • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Lead Engineer – Electronics Hardware Design in LVPC. This position will be based in Pune, India.

  • The individual will be responsible for developing high power density product designs involving electrical / power electronics / hardware design and interface designs from End-to-end.

  • Optimize design for energy efficiency and various performance strategies using physical modeling or simulation tools, and providing technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentoring new engineers.

  • Champions innovative solutions for design and architecture for 48V eHeater, DC-DC, 24V-12V Converters, Auxiliary Inverters and Embedded Power Products.

  • Leads project level deliverables in High-Speed Communication Circuits, and Digital and Analog Controls, I/O Interface Circuits and Control Hardware.

  • Develop products to comply performance, functional safety, reliability and cost requirements.

  • Writes and maintains product specifications and functional specifications of design solutions for product to meet performance, functional safety and reliability.

  • Develop engineering tools and continuously improves operational efficiency.

  • Evaluates alternative design solutions to meet product development requirements factoring in performance, cost and schedule. Interface with products teams in EIIC and global locations; act as the liaison for program associated with associated simulation technologies.

  • A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of commercial vehicle product development process at system and subsystem levels.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • Over 10+ years with BE or 5+ years expirence with ME / Mtech of industry experience with a proven track record in engineering research, analysis, and product design in 48V eHeater, DC-DC, 24V-12V Converters, Auxiliary Inverters Products.

  • Hands-on experience in new product development projects within the power electronics domain.

  • Expertise in hardware system design including analog and digital circuit design with 16/32/64-bit microcontroller-based systems.

  • Experience in end-to-end product development: design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing, and launch support.

  • Exposure to digital communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, RS232, SPI, and I2C.

  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools like MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice/LTSpice/Simetrix, and PSIM/SABER.

  • Preferred experience in pulsed power systems, capacitor chargers, electromagnetics, microelectronics, and thermal design.

  • Ability to analyze and simulate power electronics systems including analog, logical, and digital electronics.

  • Familiarity with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation systems.

  • Experience in validation, verification, and certification processes in automotive or electrical domains.

  • Strong understanding of reliability in embedded system design.

  • Knowledge of DFSS tools such as FMEA, FMECA, and Monte Carlo Analysis.

  • Excellent mastery of the FMEA method for new product design.

  • Experience in hybrid and vehicle electrification projects.

  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional safety processes.

  • Knowledge of quality standards and certifications including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.

  • Proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques.
