Job Description

Lead Payroll Analyst plays a critical role within our Global Payroll services team to ensure timely and accurate payroll for our international employees by ensuring data changes are compliant and tax accounts balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve payroll changes and submit to payroll partner/systems across multiple countries. Ensure these are compliant with country specific regulations before submission.

  • Ensure payroll elements are appropriately set up according to company policy and country legislation

  • Conduct monthly analysis of payroll data for final approval, identify and resolve any issues arising.

  • Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and identify anomalies for preparation of financial reporting

  • Prepare monthly GL file reporting for upload to finance system

  • Review Liabilities reconciliations for monthly and end of year filing and payments to each country authorities

  • Deal with queries from authorities and third parties.

  • Prepare payments for approvals

  • Deal with mid-level queries from employees and stakeholders

  • Create and maintain internal payroll processing documentation

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure controls are maintained.

  • Communicate with business on legislative changes that will impact their area

  • Complete end of year analysis and prepare for final approval for each country.

  • Ad hoc reporting

  • Prepare and track payroll invoices for approval

  • Assist in Global mobility and Employment tax tasks in relation to payroll & benefits.

  • Assist International Payroll Manager with audits and risk assessments.

  • Assist International Payroll Manager with projects effecting payroll.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous EMEA/APAC payroll experience for at least 5 years

  • Organizational skills

  • Basic knowledge of double entry bookkeeping

  • Good excel skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Good customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of HR Policies and practices

  • Basic knowledge of Benefits legislation and practices

  • Experience with Workday payroll, ADP iHCM and Papaya Global systems
