Job Description

The Junior Marine Structures Engineer will support the analysis, design development, and technical documentation of marine and coastal infrastructure projects. The role involves working closely with senior engineers to analyze design parameters, review field investigation data, and assist in developing engineering solutions for marine structures such as revetments, jetties, and breakwaters. The candidate will be expected to actively contribute to technical studies and design preparation under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analysis and preliminary design of marine structures including revetments, jetties, and breakwaters.

  • Perform engineering calculations related to wave loads, hydrodynamic forces, and structural stability.

  • Review and interpret bathymetric, topographic, and geotechnical investigation data for design inputs.

  • Prepare design drawings, layouts, and technical documentation under the supervision of senior engineers.

  • Support preparation of engineering reports, design notes, and project documentation.

  • Assist in evaluating design alternatives and technical feasibility of proposed solutions.

  • Coordinate with survey teams and other technical departments to obtain required project data.

  • Participate in design review meetings and internal technical discussions.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably in coastal or marine infrastructure projects

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (B.E./B-Tech) from a recognized university with experience in analysis or design of marine structures such as revetments, jetties, or breakwaters.

  • Master’s Degree in Coastal Engineering / Structural Engineering / Port & Harbour Engineering will be an added advantage.

Additional Information

  • Working knowledge of coastal engineering and structural design concepts.

  • Ability to analyze technical data and support engineering design development.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering analysis tools.

  • Good analytical, learning, and teamwork abilities.

  • Willingness to undertake site visits and field coordination when required.
