Job Description

Position Overview:

The Environmental Expert will support environmental assessment and compliance activities for infrastructure and development projects. The role involves conducting site visits, collecting and analyzing environmental data, preparing EIA/ESIA reports, and coordinating with regulatory authorities. The candidate will ensure compliance with statutory environmental requirements, support stakeholder consultations, and contribute to environmental planning and proposal development while delivering work within agreed timelines and budgets.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Conduct site visits, data collection, and analysis of primary and secondary data.

  • Prepare Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports.

  • Assess environmental impacts and recommend mitigation measures.

  • Undertake Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies as per IFI guidelines.

  • Make presentations to MoEFCC / SEIAA authorities.

  • Prepare compliances on ADS sought by authorities.

  • Prepare applications for statutory clearances and Consent to Establish (CTE) & Consent to Operate (CTO).

  • Prepare Biodiversity Management Plans and Wildlife Conservation Plans.

  • Upload applications on the online portals of concerned authorities.

  • Work on IFI-funded projects.

  • Conduct stakeholder consultations, workshops, and training programs.

  • Support in preparation of technical proposals.

  • Use computer software tools for solving basic engineering problems.

  • Perform work as per agreed budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Environmental Management / Environmental Sustainability.

Additional Information

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in the Environmental sector, with experience in EIA/ESIA studies, environmental compliance, and statutory clearances
