Unisync Distribution Operations Manager in Guelph, Ontario

Job Summary: The Manager, Distribution Operations is responsible for driving execution, consistency, and performance across a network of 5 Distribution Centers. Acting as an extension of the Director of Distribution, this role provides hands-on operational leadership while leveraging data and analytics to identify opportunities, solve problems, and improve performance. This position bridges strategy and execution, ensuring operational excellence across all core distribution functions.

This role is critical to ensuring operational excellence across the distribution network by combining strong leadership with advanced analytics. The Manager, Distribution Operations will play a key role in turning data into action and driving consistent, high-level performance across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Operations Leadership

  • Provide operational oversight across all Distribution Centers

  • Partner with site leaders to execute network-wide priorities and initiatives

  • Ensure consistency in processes, KPIs, and operational standards across all locations

  • Support sites during peak periods, performance challenges, or leadership gaps

Data, Analytics & Reporting (Core Focus)

  • Analyze operational data to drive decision-making across the network

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards and reports to track KPIs

  • Monitor key metrics including productivity, service levels, order accuracy, and inventory accuracy

  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis

  • Translate data insights into actionable plans for site leadership

  • Standardize reporting across all DCs to ensure visibility and alignment

Performance Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across receiving, warehousing, and shipping

  • Drive standardization of best practices across all facilities

  • Track and report on performance improvements and initiative outcomes

Leadership & Coaching

  • Coach and support Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads across all DCs

  • Reinforce accountability, performance expectations, and operational discipline

  • Partner on hiring, onboarding, and performance management

  • Build leadership capability and bench strength across the network

Inventory & Process Control

  • Partner with Receiving & Inventory teams to ensure high inventory accuracy

  • Oversee cycle count programs, root cause analysis, and corrective actions

  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational standards across all sites

Projects & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Lead and support cross-functional projects and process improvements

  • Collaborate with Planning, Reporting, Maintenance, Embroidery, and other functions

  • Support system implementations, process changes, and facility expansions

Communication & Alignment

  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Distribution on network performance

  • Prepare and present operational reports and insights

  • Ensure clear, consistent communication across all Distribution Centers

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–10+ years of experience in distribution, warehousing, or logistics operations

  • Experience working across multiple sites or leading through indirect teams

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end warehouse operations

  • Proven ability to drive performance improvements and operational efficiency

  • Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail

Technical Skills (Must-Have)

  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, visualization)

  • Strong experience with data analysis and KPI reporting

  • Experience working with WMS systems and large data sets

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)

The salary for this position is in the range of $80,000-$95,000 based on experience
