We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist .

Principal responsibilities
Design, implement and deploy enhancements to HSBC’s electronic trading platform within timeline and with high quality
Take ownership, support and optimize what you and your colleagues have designed and developed
Collaborate with software engineers in other time zones
Reduce toil, tech debt and repetitive tasks by automation
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications
5+ years of hands-on software engineering of low-latency or real-time systems
Java proficiency required, including concurrency, tuning, and memory management
Good command of Linux/UNIX command line interface
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, and self-motivated
Solid on OOAD, experienced on Test-Driven Development is must
Good command in spoken and written English as working language
What additional skills will be good to have?
Using agentic AI for software maintenance
Experience with container runtimes (Podman, Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Familiarity with message passing systems such as Kafka and Aeron
Practicing data-driven optimizations (profiling, metrics collection)
Working-knowledge of CI/CD techniques
