Your role and responsibilities

As a Brand Technical Sales Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.

l Promote and sell storage products or solutions in selected territory(e.g., Flash, SDS, Tape, or storage software, depending on business type).

l Identify and approach potential customers through calls, visits, and referrals.

l Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate storage solutions.

l Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales deals.

l Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customers, and contracts.

l Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.

l Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

l Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and product knowledge.

Required technical and professional expertise

l Business-Tech Alignment: Experience aligning business goals with tech solutions.

l Stakeholder Consensus Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for achieving consensus among stakeholders.

l Storage Market Expertise: Storage market knowledge to be a trusted client advisor (training on IBM's storage offerings is provided).

l Familiar with local storage partner

l Proven experience in sales, preferably in storage.

l Strong communication and negotiation skills.

l Customer-focused attitude with problem-solving abilities.

l Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

l Willingness to travel or meet clients if required.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Proficiency with AI-Enabled Tools: Exposure to utilizing AI-enabled technology stacks to drive engagement and conversion, enhancing customer experiences and streamlining sales processes.

• Virtual Presentation Skills: Experience delivering technical demos and product overviews in virtual settings, effectively showcasing product capabilities and addressing customer needs.

• Digital Channel Optimization: Exposure to leveraging digital channels to advance sales opportunities, including utilizing data-driven insights to inform sales strategies.
