IBM Enterprise Automation Engineer in GUADALAJARA, Mexico
Introduction
We are seeking an Enterprise Automation Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform, Terraform, and ServiceNow. This role focuses on creating end-to-end, governed automation workflows that unify compute, network, security, and platform services, enabling reliable infrastructure delivery and operations at enterprise scale.
The ideal candidate understands the difference between task-level automation and true IaC-driven orchestration, and is passionate about building reusable, secure, and auditable automation foundations.
Your role and responsibilities
• Design and implement end-to-end automation workflows across compute, network, identity, and security domains.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and collections aligned with enterprise standards.
• Build and evolve Terraform modules for repeatable infrastructure provisioning.
• Integrate automation with ServiceNow or ITSM platforms for approved, auditable request-to-deploy pipelines.
• Partner with platform, security, and operations teams to ensure automation is secure and production-ready.
• Support Day-2 automation including remediation, scaling, and compliance workflows.
• Contribute to automation standards, documentation, and reusable patterns.
Required technical and professional expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with Ansible Automation Platform (Controller/AWX, inventories, RBAC).
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and modular IaC design.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code principles and lifecycle management.
• Experience automating infrastructure services such as compute, networking, DNS/IPAM, and identity.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows (PRs, branching, peer review).
• Experience integrating automation with ServiceNow ITSM
Preferred technical and professional experience
• Experience operating automation in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, VMWare, OpenShift)
• Experience with event-driven automation or operational remediation workflows.
• Familiarity with security best practices including secrets management and least privilege.
• Experience working in a federated automation model.
