IBM Data Engineer Intern – IBM Data Squad in GUADALAJARA, Mexico

Your role and responsibilities
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will:
Assist in designing, developing, and supporting data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
Work with structured and semi‑structured data from databases, files, and APIs
Support data quality, validation, and monitoring efforts
Help troubleshoot and optimize existing data workflows
Collaborate with Data Squad engineers, analysts, and business partners
Document technical processes, data flows, and best practices
Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and team learning sessions

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
High English level (B2-C1)
Ability to work full-time for 6 to 12 months
Eagerness to learn and collaborate in a team environment
Preferred technical and professional experience
Coursework or academic projects related to data engineering, databases, or analytics
Exposure to cloud platforms such as IBM Cloud, Azure, AWS, or GCP
Familiarity with data pipelines, ETL processes, or orchestration concepts
Experience using Git or other version control tools
Internship, research, or personal projects involving data
