This position reports to: NAM Sales Manager, Metals __ Your role and responsibilities: In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and complete bids/estimations/quotations based on customer specification or customer requirements/budget in order to achieve both market competitiveness and the expected margin level for the Company. Each day, you will maintain and improve the balance between all ABB units and customers that are present in the area of responsibility. You will also showcase your expertise by formulating competitive bids, estimates, and quotations with the best product mix and appropriate technical and commercial considerations, ensuring timely, detailed proposals that include full and accurate costs. The work model for the role is: Hybrid (Work from home and travel to customer sites and ABB offices as per business requirements/demands) This role is contributing to the Metals and Power Conversion business line within the Process Industries / Automation in USA and Canada. Key Responsibilities Calculating a budget value for the sales team or customer to evaluate customer willingness to invest using appropriate level of details. Managing the preparation of all technical and commercial documentation (e.g. defining the most suitable technology and product type(s)), financial (e.g. total price sheet, cash flow analysis), indicating prices and trading conditions. Collaborates with sales teams and engages with customers when required. Ensuring that, in accordance with bid/estimate/quotation planning, inputs for editing activities are provided on time and follow established quality procedures. Having the proper solutions for brownfield and greenfield projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in the metals industry (Material Handling, Primary Metals, Rolling Mills, or Processing Lines). Proven experience with ABB Automation and Motion products, including LV/MV Drives, Motors, and Automation systems. Strong knowledge of ABB 800xA and Level 1 & Level 2 automation architectures.
