Welspun USA, Inc. Quality Control Auditor in Grove City, Ohio
. The Quality Auditor is responsible for executing work-in-process and finished goods inspection to ensure compliance with internal specifications, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product integrity by identifying risks, enforcing quality controls, and supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.
The Quality Auditor operates as a key partner to Production and Quality Leadership, ensuring that quality expectations are clearly communicated, consistently applied, and effectively sustained on the plant floor.
• Execute receiving, in-process (WIP), and finished goods inspections (FGI) in accordance with the Quality Manual, customer specifications, and AQL standards
• Enforce quality standards across production and ensure adherence to established procedures and specifications
• Maintain control of nonconforming materials, including identification, segregation, documentation, and escalation
• Exercise authority to place product or materials on hold and escalate quality risks that may impact customer requirements
• Review Bills of Materials (BOMs), specifications, and item master data to identify discrepancies or gaps and coordinate resolution
• Monitor and validate material substitutions, ensuring proper rework or modification instructions are implemented and followed
• Accurately record and maintain inspection data; analyze results to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making
• Communicate quality issues, trends, and required corrective actions to Production and Quality leadership in a timely manner
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action (CAPA) activities to eliminate recurring defects
• Train production associates on quality standards, inspection methods, and defect identification as needed
• Participate in quality meetings and ensure timely follow-up on assigned actions and improvement initiatives
• Support new product introductions and startup approvals to ensure readiness and compliance
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Comply with company and safety guidelines
• Experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment required; textile or soft goods experience preferred
• Strong understanding of inspection processes, defect identification, and quality control methods
• Ability to read and interpret specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation
• Proficient in basic math and measurement tools (e.g., tape measure)
• High attention to detail with strong observational and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organiza
