The Utility Technician will be responsible for all maintenance responsibilities in established accounts in the territory. This position is a field-based position providing hands-on servicing of boiler and cooling water systems for our existing customer base, including but not limited to chemical testing, monitoring, calibration, repair of chemical-feed-related equipment, and visual inspections of systems when necessary. Responsibilities: Operator will maintain Class 1 Certified Operator water treatment license for Permit. Operator will be onsite for 2 hours per system, per week. This will be during 3 visits per system per week. Operator will test analytes as defined by customer including but not limited to copper, temperature, & chlorine. Operator will upload results to excel spreadsheets provided by customer at conclusion of testing daily in addition to the Ohio EPA Data Entry. Chem-Aqua will supply all testing materials including but not limited to Portable Colorimeter & any testing reagents needed. Monthly reporting in the OSU CMS Work Order System. Additional responsibilities as defined by Ohio EPA permit requirements. Requirements: 1-3 years of work experience in a field using mechanical principles Experience in the water treatment or related industry a plus Ability to a work flexible schedule, some weekends required High School Diploma or equivalent is required Knowledgeable in MS Office applications Knowledgeable in using a computer, tablet, smartphone, and other work-related technology Must be able perform physical work in a HVAC, cooling towers, or boiler equipment environment requiring exposure to chemicals, noise, hot & cold temperatures, and inclement weather Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record (DMV record will be checked) Benefits NCH Corporation offers a full suite of benefits, employee development and recognition programs.
