About the Role
Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Manager to support large‑scale facilities and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an electrical engineer with strong project ownership experience who is comfortable working with medium‑voltage power systems, municipal utilities, and regulatory stakeholders, including Naval oversight.
You’ll lead projects from initial scope through design and execution, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, reliable, and built to code in a mission‑critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage electrical engineering projects involving electrical distribution systems up to 35kV, including:
○ Substations
○ Switchgear
○ Transformers
○ Underground duct banks
• Support projects tied to submarine shore power systems and facility power infrastructure
• Scope engineering projects, develop technical requirements, and write RFPs for design and construction efforts
• Oversee design execution, field coordination, and system implementation
• Ensure compliance with state and local electrical/building codes
• Support inspections, system reviews, and issue resolution during construction and commissioning
• Maintain strong technical documentation and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
• Work independently while maintaining a questioning attitude and commitment to continuous learning

Skills and Requirements
Required Qualifications (Must Haves)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of experience in:
○ Facilities engineering
○ Construction engineering
○ Heavy industrial environments
• Hands‑on experience:
○ Scoping electrical projects
○ Executing or supporting electrical design
○ Writing and managing RFPs
• Familiarity with power distribution systems up to 35kV
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications (Plusses)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience inspecting electrical equipment and installations
• Prior experience working with municipal power supplies or utility coordination
