Overview

UnityPoint Health is hiring a Technical Operations Intern to join our Technical Operations Center department! This role will assist in day-to-day TOC and Telehealth monitoring and support. The TOC Intern will manage incidents and will work with TeleHealth Analysts, build carts and create parts using 3D printers. Reporting to our Technical Operations Center Manager, the TOC Intern will work on preventive maintenances and incident response that adhere to best practices and recognized control frameworks .

Hours: 20 hours/week between the hours of Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Location: Hybrid scheduled - Grimes, IA

Responsibilities

TOC Support:

  • Support the telehealth operation, and other TOC related systems.

  • As a member of the Telehealth team, knowledge, and skills in the provision, management, and support of telehealth care delivery platforms. In collaboration with IT, maintains a stable telehealth environment that is secure and reliable.

  • Concisely communicates concepts to team members and clients with varying levels of computer understanding.

  • Uses operational expertise to seek out, research, evaluate, and propose solutions to clients.

    Team:

  • Balance team and individual responsibilities and put the success of the team above own interests.

  • Adheres to Change Management Policies and Procedures

  • Supports Leadership, prioritization of work requests.

  • Formulate and maintain documentation for department processes.

Qualifications

Education :

  • Currently pursuing associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or related field

    License(s)/Certifi c ation(s):

  • Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

    Knowledge/Skills /Abilities :

  • Strong knowledge of current security threats, techniques, and landscape

  • A dedicated and self-driven desire to research and learn more about the information security landscape

  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills

  • Understands computer system functionality, limitations, and architecture of supported applications and platforms
