Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will conduct routine and non-routine chemical and physical analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. You will be responsible for updating and maintaining analysis spreadsheets for these materials, ensuring the highest standards of quality are met.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine and non-routine analysis on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to quality, identify trends, and report findings to the Quality Manager.

  • Create and maintain Quality Control Analysis procedures.

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.

  • Assist the Quality Manager with ISO and Environmental related activities.

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and use all required personal protective equipment.

  • Uphold the safety and quality standards of the company.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

  • Quality control and assurance expertise.

  • Proficiency in quality inspection and data entry.

  • Experience in pH testing, particle size analysis, and surface area measurements.

  • Ability to set up instruments, select methods, and interpret results.

  • Strong attention to detail is critical for identifying deviations from quality standards.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for analyzing data and developing solutions.

  • Communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration and reporting.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is required for tracking performance and identifying areas for improvement.

  • Organizational and time management skills are important for managing multiple tasks and priorities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific field, or equivalent lab experience with 4+ years’ experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance role.

  • Previous lab experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with flexible start times and a 30-60 minute lunch flexibility. The role requires frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs., standing for long periods (over 3 hours continuously), and frequent walking, bending, reaching, squatting, stooping, and kneeling to floor level.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Griffin, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
