We’re looking for a Utilities Plant Process Engineer to take ownership of critical plant systems, improve reliability, and drive operational excellence. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence plant performance, safety, and cost efficiency.

What You’ll Do
As a Utilities Plant Process Engineer, you will:
Drive Reliability & Performance – Optimize utilities systems including steam, compressed air, chillers, cooling towers, and heat transfer fluid systems
Be a Technical Leader – Provide daily process support and guidance to operators and maintenance teams
Improve Equipment Uptime – Diagnose breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
Develop Maintenance Strategies – Build and refine preventive and predictive maintenance plans for utilities and HVAC equipment
Collaborate Across Teams – Work closely with E&I, maintenance planners, and operations to coordinate overhauls and improvements
Manage Projects – Lead small capital and improvement projects from scope through execution
Enhance Safety Culture – Promote safe operations and ensure compliance across all utilities systems
Support Training & Development – Identify skill gaps and help elevate the technical capabilities of the team
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent military experience)
8–10 years of experience in industrial utilities, facilities, or maintenance engineering
Strong hands-on experience with:
Steam boilers
Air compressors and dryers
Chillers and cooling towers
Heat transfer fluid systems
HVAC systems
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical/process issues
Experience developing maintenance strategies and work scopes
Strong collaboration and communication skills in a plant environment
SAP and Microsoft Office experience is a plus
The salary range for this position is $95,000,000-$120,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in the posting.
