SCRAM Systems Staff Accountant II in Greenwood Village, Colorado
Job Summary:
Hybrid Role with 2 days in office required
Provides direct support to the Accounting Manager in all aspects of the month-end close process, from preparing bank reconciliations, to general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. Provides audit support and works on special Accounting-related projects as needed. Excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to ensure accuracy and integrity in our financial reporting.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
Prepare journal entries and post to general ledger
Ensure timely and accurate posting of journal entries
Maintain and update monthly reconciliations
Balance Sheet
P&L
Post monthly intercompany transactions
Monthly bank reconciliations and G/L account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Assist with interim and annual financial audit, working closely with external auditors
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Process documentation
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
Ensure compliance with all internal controls, company policies and regulatory requirements
Support teamwork and cross training initiatives with the department

Skills/Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excelrequired: pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience withJD Edwards and QuickBooks Online experience a plus
Problem solve and identify process improvements

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years of progressive work experience
Prior experience in a manufacturing company a plus
