Accounting Clerk II (Accounts Payable Specialist)

? Onsite | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

? Pay: $20–$23/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk II / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team immediately. This is a fully onsite position with no remote option. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong background in accounts payable, we’d love to hear from you!

Position Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices and check requests, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maximizing available discounts and minimizing late fees. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting month-end close processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payment requests accurately and efficiently

• Ensure timely payments while capturing available discounts

• Monitor and reduce late fees through proactive processing

• Review and verify financial data to prevent errors

• Support month-end closing activities and deadlines

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies

• Apply critical thinking to identify and implement process improvements

• Follow PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act) principles for continuous improvement

• Maintain compliance with company policies and safety regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines

• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
