WSP USA Project Coordinator in Greenville, South Carolina

This Opportunity

WSP is seeking a motivated and detail oriented Project Coordinator to support our Bridge Inspection Technical Excellence Center (TEC) . This entry level role provides essential coordination, analytical, and proposal support to the TEC Lead and bridge inspection leadership team, with a primary focus on RFP analysis, proposal preparation, project analysis, and client profiling.

The Project Coordinator will work closely with technical, business development, and management staff to support pursuits, planning, and delivery coordination, while gaining exposure to bridge inspection programs, DOT clients, and WSP’s project delivery and business development processes. This role is well suited for an early career professional looking to build a foundation in infrastructure consulting, proposal development, and project coordination.

Your Impact

Proposal & RFP Support

  • Assist in reviewing RFPs, RFQs, and solicitation documents to identify scope requirements, submission instructions, evaluation criteria, and key deadlines.

  • Support the preparation, coordination, and submission of bridge inspection proposals, including assembling content, resumes, project descriptions, and required forms.

  • Track proposal schedules, deliverables, and action items under the direction of the TEC Lead.

  • Help maintain proposal templates, resumes, project sheets, and marketing materials in accordance with WSP standards.

Project & Business Analysis Support

  • Assist with project and pursuit data analysis, including tracking workloads, staffing needs, schedules, and basic financial information.

  • Support preparation of project summaries, dashboards, and internal status reports.

  • Compile and organize project, proposal, and client information for leadership review.

  • Maintain logs for proposals, active projects, and client opportunities.

Client & Market Research

  • Support client profiling and market research efforts by gathering and organizing information on DOTs, municipalities, and transportation agencies.

  • Assist with maintaining client contact lists, contract histories, and market intelligence databases.

  • Monitor publicly available procurement portals and agency websites for upcoming bridge inspection opportunities.

Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate internal meetings related to pursuits or project planning, including preparing agendas, taking meeting notes, and tracking action items.

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining electronic files using WSP systems (e.g., SharePoint or similar platforms).

  • Support document formatting, proofreading, and quality checks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with WSP standards.

  • Provide general coordination and administrative support to the TEC Lead and project teams as needed.

Professional & Organizational Support

  • Learn and follow WSP’s proposal, project delivery, and quality management procedures.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision making regarding company resources and conduct.

  • Collaborate effectively with multi disciplinary teams and contribute positively to a team oriented work environment.

  • Perform additional coordination and support tasks as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Planning, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

  • 0–2 years of professional experience in a coordination, administrative, analytical, or support role.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI for basic data visualization, dashboards, and analytical reporting.

  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign for proposal layout, formatting, and production.

  • Exposure to other design, visualization, or proposal support tools, such as:

  • Adobe Illustrator – creation of graphics, charts, and visual elements

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro – PDF editing, markups, and final document assembly

  • Microsoft Excel (advanced features) – pivot tables, charts, and data analysis

  • Microsoft PowerPoint – proposal graphics, interview decks, and client presentations

  • Canva or similar design tools – quick layouts and visual concepts (where applicable)

  • Visio or Lucidchart – basic process flows, org charts, and diagrams

  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar document management platforms.

  • Internship, coursework, or early professional exposure to engineering, infrastructure, or consulting environments.

  • Interest in transportation infrastructure, bridge inspection, or public sector clients.
