Pay Rate: $57.61 per hour
About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer III , you will play a vital role in the analysis and development of gas turbine rotor components that power critical energy infrastructure globally. This is a hands-on, technically rigorous position where your expertise in finite element analysis and mechanical design will help solve complex engineering problems with real-world impact.
You will collaborate with experienced engineers, contribute to high-visibility projects, and see your analytical work directly shape world-class energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Execute 2D and 3D finite element analyses of gas turbine rotors using ANSYS
Perform detailed post-processing analyses, including:
Low Cycle Fatigue (LCF) crack initiation and propagation
Fracture mechanics evaluations
Strength and bolted joint behavior assessments
Pull and modify CAD models from PLM systems using Siemens NX
Summarize, document, and present analytical results to technical stakeholders
Support defect evaluation activities through advanced analysis
Contribute to automation of recurring tasks using Python, as needed
Participate in routine project status meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
6+ years of relevant mechanical or structural engineering experience
Demonstrated experience with:
ANSYS Finite Element Analysis
Rotor design and analysis
Fracture mechanics and Low Cycle Fatigue methodologies
3D CAD modeling (Siemens NX preferred)
Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly present technical findings
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Python for engineering analysis or task automation

Pay Details: $57.61 per hour
