THIEL COLLEGE Career Development Coordinator in Greenville, Pennsylvania

Thiel College seeks an energetic professional to coordinate the Career Development program, connecting students with alumni and regional employers through hands-on relationship building and program operations. This position advances the College's commitment to launching adaptable leaders who meaningfully contribute to their professions and communities. This is a 10-month, full-time position reporting to the Associate Dean for Student Success.

Primary Responsibilities The Career Development Coordinator manages the day-to-day operations of the Career Development Office by: • Serving as primary point of contact for regional employers, coordinating on-campus recruiting, job postings, and internship opportunities • Building and maintaining active connections with alumni for mentorship, networking events, and guest speaking engagements • Managing Career Corps student leaders and coordinating their activities and professional development • Tracking student participation and employer engagement to support program assessment • Collaborating with Academic Affairs and Alumni Relations to integrate career preparation across programs • Organizing career-related events, workshops, and networking opportunities • Supporting faculty and staff in connecting students to professional opportunities • Maintaining career development resources and communication channels

Operational Focus This role requires a hands-on approach to: • Cultivate relationships with employers and alumni • Coordinate logistics for career events and employer visits • Manage student worker programs supporting career initiatives • Maintain accurate data related to student engagement and outcomes • Respond to student, employer, and alumni inquiries • Support the integration of career development into the student experience

Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • 1-2 years of experience in career services, alumni relations, employer relations, or related field • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail • Experience coordinating events or programs • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments

Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of Handshake career platform • Experience working with college students • Understanding of the mission of an independent college grounded in the liberal arts  • Experience managing student workers or volunteers
