THIEL COLLEGE Adjunct Instructors: English, Information Literacy, and Business Communication in Greenville, Pennsylvania
Thiel College invites applications from qualified instructors to join our adjunct faculty pool for foundational courses in College Writing, Information Literacy, and Business Communication. Qualified candidates may teach in one or more of the following areas:
• College Writing -- First-year composition course that develops foundational skills for communication, research, and critical thinking. • Information Literacy -- Foundational courses helping students navigate research strategies, evaluate sources, and apply ethical information practices in the digital age • Business Communication -- Professional writing, presentation skills, and strategic communication for our business majors and others
Key Responsibilities • Teach 1--3 sections per semester (as available and based on enrollment needs) • Provide substantive feedback and maintain regular office hours to support student development • Teach courses using provided syllabi designed to support student success and align with Thiel's mission • Collaborate with department chairs and library faculty as appropriate
Qualifications • Required: Master's degree in English, Rhetoric and Composition, Library and Information Science, Education, Communication, or a closely related field • Preferred: Prior teaching experience at the college level, familiarity with learning management systems (Moodle preferred), and/or significant professional experience relevant to course content • A commitment to supporting diverse learners and contributing to a student-centered campus community
