Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to support Dr. Andrew Ciancimino exclusively in a well-established internal medicine practice. This outpatient role focuses on adult primary care and offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients while working closely with an experienced internist.
This position is ideal for an APP who values collaborative practice, continuity of care, and delivering high-quality internal medicine services in a supportive office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient internal medicine care under physician collaboration
Conduct new patient visits, follow-up appointments, and routine sick visits
Manage chronic medical conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and thyroid disorders
Perform preventive care services, including annual physicals and Medicare wellness visits
Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State regulations
Educate patients on disease management, preventive care, and lifestyle modification
Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services
Ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Support quality initiatives and evidence-based internal medicine practices
Qualifications
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State (or eligible)
National board certification required
BLS/ACLS/DEA
Prior experience in internal medicine or adult primary care preferred (new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered)
Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
