Job Title: Facilities Engineer (HVAC)
Job Description
Support the Facility Maintenance Manager in the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of HVAC systems. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance of HVAC equipment, production chillers and boilers, controls located throughout buildings, and kitchen refrigeration. This role involves performing tests, rounds, and analysis of data to ensure the proper functioning of equipment. Work will be performed according to manufacturing standards and involves following the change process of qualified core equipment and components.
Responsibilities
Monitor, adjust, and maintain refrigerant, heat exchangers, HVAC equipment and systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
Maintain boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters along with other mechanical and electrical equipment.
Record readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Notify appropriate parties of any problems or malfunctions.
Perform preventative maintenance on base building and critical system equipment.
Assemble all tools, supplies, and instruments necessary to complete jobs with minimal disruption.
Conduct immediate clean-up of work areas and complete preventative task sheets.
Return tools to workshop and unused supplies to storeroom and advise the Maintenance Manager of any equipment problems.
Essential Skills
4+ years of Commercial or Industrial HVAC Service experience.
Strong working knowledge of the mechanical functions associated with HVAC systems and equipment.
RTU Troubleshooting Experience (20 Tons).
EPA Universal Certification.
Experience with boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, service, facilities maintenance, mechanical repair, and refrigeration systems.

Work Environment
The position requires work across 12 buildings on a 1,650-acre site with 2 million square feet of space. Work is conducted both inside and outside, with indoor environments being clean and temperature-controlled. This position is onsite and can be loud due to the heavy automotive industrial work. Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 3 PM to 11:30 PM, with overtime available including a mandatory weekend day approximately once a month.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
