Position Overview

TheSheet Metal Foreman / Lead Mechanicis responsible for the fabrication, installation, and repair of commercial HVAC sheet metal systems. This role provides hands‑on leadership, technical expertise, and ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Qualifications & ResponsibilitiesLead Mechanic Requirements

  • Minimum5 years of experiencein the sheet metal trade

  • Ability to read and interpretdrawings, blueprints, and P&ID schematics

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Provide hands-on leadership to field crews from layout through final installation

  • Direct and supportLead Mechanics, Mechanics, and Apprentices

  • Install a wide range of commercial HVAC sheet metal systems according to project specifications and drawings

Foreman Requirements

  • Minimum8 years of experiencein the sheet metal field

  • Strong ability to read and interpretdrawings and P&ID schematics

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal for commercial HVAC systems

  • Schedule and coordinate onsite subcontractors

  • Ensure high-quality work, safety, and customer satisfaction at all project stages

  • Build positive relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and crew members

  • Direct and superviseApprentices, Mechanics, Lead Mechanics, and Journeymen

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

  • Must have essential hand tools for the trade

  • Dependable team player with strong work ethic

  • Ability to work without direct supervision

  • Ability to pass a post-offerdrug screenand applicable background checks (DMV, criminal history)

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Ability to ride or drive for extended periods as required

  • Work in varying temperatures and weather conditions

  • Frequent use of hands for tools and equipment

  • Regular standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and reaching

  • Occasional lifting up to50 pounds

  • Exposure to typical construction materials and chemicals; must follow safety data guidelines
