Job Description
Join our innovative team as a Experienced Accounting & Business Controller and play a pivotal role in shaping the financial framework of a rapidly growing autonomous transport company. This unique opportunity allows you to build and optimize financial processes, partnering closely with operations and leadership to ensure a scalable and accurate financial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Build a robust accounting foundation and manage the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Analyze financial results to provide actionable insights, surface trends, and help leadership understand the implications of financial data.
Lead the implementation of the Finance-as-a-Service (FaaS) model, driving the rollout of a third-party finance provider and ensuring its alignment with business needs.
Optimize financial processes linked to the FaaS model, focusing on system integrations, process automation, and maintaining robust internal controls.
Ensure compliance, maintain strong financial controls, and build models, forecasts, and insights to support strategic planning and sustainable growth.
Essential Skills
At least 7 years of experience in accounting or controlling, preferably in transportation, logistics, or an operationally complex, asset-heavy environment.
Proficiency in GAAP and IFRS with the ability to independently manage financial closes.
Experience leading external partners and managing a Finance-as-a-Service model.
Strong analytical instincts and ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Sage Intacct, BlackLine, or SAP, especially in implementation or automation.
Familiarity with fleet operations, route profitability, or transportation cost structures.
Independence, accountability, and execution as core strengths.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
