Job Description

As a Materials Associate, you will be responsible for picking and handling orders using the Voxware system, a voice-to-pick technology. Your main tasks will include using a headset and hand device scanner to efficiently pick items, which may involve working with carts and totes. Upon completing each order, you will return to the supervisor for the next assignment. You will also have the option to pick with either a pick sheet or Voxware. Candidates should be capable of lifting up to 50lbs throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Voxware voice-to-pick system to process orders.

  • Use headsets, hand scanners, carts, and totes for picking items.

  • Return to the supervisor for new orders upon completion.

  • Ensure accuracy in item selection to prevent errors in delivery.

  • Adhere to delivery schedules with a sense of urgency.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift 50lbs regularly.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Attention to detail to avoid sending incorrect items.

  • Responsible with good attendance.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ideally, 3 years of previous warehouse experience.

  • Job tenure is important; looking for candidates with stable work history.

  • Capability to walk 5-10 miles per shift.

Work Environment

The warehouse is clean, climate-controlled, and well-organized. With a team of 22, including supervisors, the environment is relaxed as long as tasks are completed. The dress code allows for comfort, with shorts and short sleeve shirts permitted, provided they are appropriate and accompanied by closed-toe shoes. Breaks include 2x 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch, with vending machines, a TV, and ample seating available in the breakroom. Employees can use one headphone to stay aware of their surroundings.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
