ManpowerGroup Maintenance Technician in Greensboro, North Carolina
Our client, a manufacturing organization committed to operational excellence and safety, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, confidence working with electrical systems, and fabrication experience, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Greensboro, NC
Pay Range: $20-$22/hr
Shift: 1st Shift, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Mon–Fri)
Duration: Temporary (Approximately 3 months)
What's the Job?
Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on production equipment such as conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
Work safely with 3-phase 208V and 480V power for equipment connections, component replacements, and diagnostics following site lockout/tagout procedures.
Fabricate or modify brackets, guards, and simple machine components using welding, cutting, drilling, and basic machining tools.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using multimeters, schematics, manuals, and work orders; document work performed and parts used accurately.
Support line changeovers, equipment setups, minor installations, and relocations while maintaining safety standards.
What's Needed?
At least 2 years of industrial maintenance or machine repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of bearings, chains, sprockets, pneumatics, hydraulics, and alignment.
Ability to work with 3-phase 208V & 480V electrical systems, including basic motor control components and sensors.
Fabrication skills with welders, torches, grinders, drill presses, and saws; ability to read tape measures and prints.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, standard test instruments, and documentation skills to follow work instructions accurately.
