BAE Systems Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Systems (C4ISR) business area is seeking a Program Quality Engineer in the Tactical Systems Product Line. Our Quality Engineering team plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our C4ISR Tactical Systems, which are used by military and government agencies around the world.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of a team during all phases of the program lifecycle, supporting design and execution activities under the guidance of leadership and program personnel.
Participate in technical reviews, such as design and milestone reviews, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards. Provide input on risk mitigation and program documentation, integrating quality assurance processes into the program design and execution activities.
Interface and guide a broad range of program personnel including design, manufacturing, inspection and test engineering.
Investigate and resolve routine quality issues. Identify root cause and implement corrective action. Document findings for traceability and lessons learned and support continuous improvement efforts across programs.
Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) for programs with knowledge of dispositions and compliance with customer flowed requirements; track MRB items
Identify areas for improvement and proposes changes to enhance efficiency and quality outcome.
Participate and at times, lead, audit activities, including internal, external audits, and third-party audits.
Participate in manufacturing activities, collaborating with production teams to integrate quality standards into manufacturing operations including manufacturing process plan reviews and shop order generation.
Collect and interpret data related to quality performance and program objectives. Support the development of metrics to monitor program-specific goals and requirements. Share data-driven insights with the team to support informed decision-making.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, other functions at the site, as well as with internal/external customers.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years related experience or 6-8 years of related experience in lieu of degree
Possess an understand of Quality Systems Requirements (i.e. ISO 9001)
Knowledge of the Quality Sciences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to present to diverse audiences
Practical knowledge of project management, supply chain, configuration management, and process improvement
Familiarity with product requirements and contractor/Government program execution
Proven leadership and coordination skills for cross-functional teams
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Computer proficiency in MS Suite
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical field
Preferred active secret clearance
Prior Quality Assurance Engineering experience
Program process definition and documentation
First Article Inspection (FAI) AS9102 experience
Green Belt/ Black Belt certification
Hands on experience in a Defense Contracting Environment
AS9145- Advanced Product Quality Program exposure
Manufacturing of complex electronic assemblies
Presentation of product to customer for acceptance/ "sell off"
Preparation of documentation packages for customer review
Hardware Inspection Criteria
Quality Management Systems (AS9100)
Quality Auditing
Configuration Control and Hardware Configuration Reporting
Participation Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) activities
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $105827 - $179906
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
