Full-time onsite:

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The Role:

In this role you will assist ESS (environmental stress services) and PTFM (production test facilities maintenance) with continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing workflow throughput in ESS and Factory. The intern will also help improve the Preventative maintenance schedule and identify best practices to support technicians. This role involves collaborating on process enhancements and contributing to operational efficiency.

LEAP Internship Program:

In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.

This role is on first shift working a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.

The schedule will be 7am until 4:30pm.

This is a summer internship starting May 18th or June 1st.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor s Degree program, entering College Junior or Senior year in an engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, industrial, aerospace, engineering technology)

• Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently

• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel, inputting and manipulating data

• Experience creating slides and inputting data into PowerPoint

• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)

• Excellent team player who is willing to contribute and learn

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Ability to analyze data, understand process flows, track performance, and make improvements

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $48790 - $65809

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
