Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical (Manufacturing) Engineer to support Electric Vehicle inverter manufacturing programs. This role will involve establishing and supporting manufacturing equipment and processes while ensuring they meet product and customer requirements. You will engage in equipment verification, manufacturing process qualification for mass production, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate inverter products, processes, and equipment (40%)

  • Develop technology, resources, and production readiness (30%)

  • Support new business evaluations (20%)

  • Resolve mass production equipment issues (5%)

  • Other duties as assigned (5%)

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

  • 3-7 years of hands-on manufacturing equipment support

  • 2+ years of experience in designing, specifying, installing, and validating mechanical production equipment

  • 2+ years in leading or supporting equipment startup, commissioning, ramp-up, and in-process performance validation

  • 2+ years of troubleshooting mechanical equipment and conveyor systems

  • Ensuring all equipment meets design specifications, safety standards, and operator protection requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization

  • Capable of preparing clear reports and communicating technical findings to management

  • Maintain functional knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures

Work Environment

The work environment includes minimal regional travel, an open office setting, and exposure to a manufacturing floor with noise. This position will require time spent on the manufacturing floor, in a desk/office environment, and in meetings. This is a Contract position based out of Greenfield, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $52.88/hr.
