Talent Connect, LLC Reefer Technician in Greencastle, Pennsylvania
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigerated units (reefers) used in transport vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and containers. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues, performing routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Reefer Technicians must have strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, as well as skills in welding, diagnostics, and electrical work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration units and associated systems (electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration components).
- Perform regular preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure unit reliability.
- Install new refrigeration units and modify existing systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate service records and report repairs and part replacements.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and provide on-site support.
Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational training in refrigeration or HVAC.
- Proven experience in refrigeration repair, particularly with transport equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
