Aerotek General Laborer in Greencastle, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Laborer Job Description

Join a team dedicated to crafting essential infrastructure components, specifically concrete piping used beneath streets and in manholes. This role requires proficiency in reading a tape measure and understanding basic blueprints. Ideal candidates will have experience in concrete or construction.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures accurately.

  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.

  • Assemble rebar to fit inside molds for concrete pipes.

  • Utilize hand and power tools proficiently for various tasks.

  • Execute projects based on varying specifications detailed in blueprints.

  • Move and drag finished parts to designated finishing areas.

  • Use hand sanders to finish dried concrete as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and understand tape measures and blueprints.

  • Basic hand-eye coordination.

  • Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

  • Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in manufacturing, concrete, or construction.

  • Reliable attendance and willingness to assist throughout the facility.

  • Familiarity with construction, concrete, and mechanical assembly.

Work Environment

The position is based in a dusty and dirty manufacturing facility. Employees work the first shift, starting at 5am or 6am, and typically work 8-10 hour days, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greencastle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
