Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hours/day, 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.

Job Duties: Our operation includes 3,000 tillable acres of cash crops including spring wheat, soybeans, sunflowers, barley, oats, flax and corn. We also have 3,000 acres of CRP. Employee will operate large farm equipment and machinery equipped with GPS, such as tractor, sprayer for cultivating, tilling, fertilizing, planting, moving, storing, and harvesting grain and oilseed crops. Employee will assist with mowing, spraying, and upkeep of farm property. Employee will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and facilities.

Employee must be available and willing to work the entire season.

Minimum Education Required

No High School Diploma or GED required.

Minimum Experience Required

Three (3) months experience.

The job requires the worker to have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license within 30 days of hire.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Must be able to speak and understand English to ensure safety at the workplace.

Able to perform work that requires extensive sitting or walking, frequent stooping or bending over, and repetitive movements.

$19.33 / Hourly

Additional Compensation

The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Workers returning for a consecutive season will be paid at their previous season’s rate if that rate exceeds the current published rate.

As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay.

EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.

Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year.
