ASRC Federal Systems Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Support Specialist to support a NASA contract in Greenbelt, MD.
Job Description: Serve as the Senior Program Support Specialist providing executive business support to the GEO Programs Division at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. The role delivers integrated executive operations and administrative governance support to the NOAA GEO Chief of Staff (CoS) and NOAA GEO Administrative Officer, ensuring disciplined leadership cadence, compliant administrative execution, and timely delivery on GEO priorities.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Governance & Personnel Enablement
Coordinate NOAA onboarding and offboarding for NOAA GEO personnel in concert with the GEO Program Gemini ticketing processes; steward the intake checklist and schedule orientation touchpoints.
Track mandatory training requirements to ensure NOAA GEO personnel maintain compliance with all required training completion deadlines; provide status updates and escalate overdue items as needed.
Facilitate ICAM/role‑based access requests in line with security protocols; monitor request status and escalate delays appropriately.
Manage NESDIS Action Item coordination and tracking for the GEO Program Office.
Produce leadership dashboards synthesizing actions, risks, issues, and decisions for transparent visibility.
Travel & Logistics (NOAA Civil Servants)
- Execute travel processes per NOAA NESDIS requirements; reconcile vouchers; maintain travel trackers; generate foreign conference travel packages.
Chief of Staff Support
Provide comprehensive support for CoS operations, ensuring smooth execution of executive priorities and organizational cadence.
Coordinate meetings, including agenda development, preparation of briefing materials, and timely distribution of read-aheads.
Maintain decision logs and action registers; monitor progress and escalate issues to CoS as needed.
Facilitate effective communication between CoS and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and deadlines.
Document & Correspondence Support
Develop, review, and format documents and presentations for internal/external stakeholders consistent with NOAA/NASA standards.
Conduct technical review of executive correspondence for completeness, format, and policy compliance prior to signature routing.
Information Systems & Records Compliance Awareness
- Maintain and update electronic files and records in SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Google Drive, and Box to support program documentation needs, ensuring correct retention tagging in collaboration with Records Management.
Continuous Improvement
Capture/revise SOPs for administrative workflows; run retrospectives; implement process enhancements for cadence reliability and task throughput.
Other appropriate duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
Experience supporting executive leadership in a federal program office or equivalent complex environment.
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and action‑tracking tools.
Familiarity with Federal Government administrative processes (e.g., travel, onboarding, correspondence standards).
Strong organizational skills, stakeholder coordination, and executive‑level written/verbal communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with NOAA programs/projects.
Working knowledge of ICAM/role‑based access requests; experience coordinating onboarding / offboarding steps.
Exposure to FAR/IGCE touchpoints (non‑buying support and Federal Travel Regulations), and preparation of foreign conference packages.
Ability to synthesize technical material into decision‑ready executive artifacts.

Tools & Systems Proficiency – Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 application suites; effectively utilizes division trackers and dashboards, NOAA travel systems (per office procedures), and intake queues/task tracking systems to manage workflow and ensure operational efficiency.
Clearance: Individual must meet government NAC and citizenship/permanent residency requirements for access to NASA GSFC. Extensive background investigation will be performed as a requirement of the job.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant work experience or 11 years of experience in lieu of degree.
