Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Junior

Location: North Chicago, IL 60064 (Onsite)

Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Pay Range: $40 - $43 per hour (W2)

We are seeking a “Manufacturing Engineering Technician – Jr” to join one of our leading healthcare clients.

Position Overview

Provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing operations, ensuring reliable performance of automated equipment used in biologics and diagnostic product production. This role focuses on troubleshooting, minimizing downtime, and improving equipment efficiency and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment

  • Support production lines by resolving equipment and process issues in real time

  • Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment reliability

  • Maintain documentation of work performed and equipment status

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce downtime

  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with technical training or equivalent experience

  • Experience in equipment troubleshooting and manufacturing support

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated industries (medical device, pharma, etc.)

  • Knowledge of PLC systems, CAD tools, or CMMS (SAP/Maximo)

  • Familiarity with Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies
