GENESIS 10 Senior Network Engineer Hybrid in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a contract-to-hire or direct placement opportunity with our client located in Green Bay, WI. This position is hybrid. Compensation: \$55.00 - 65.00 per hour, W2, depending on skill and experience level. On-call requirements: On-call rotation with 3 other team members - 1 week on, 3 weeks off rotation This position is responsible for providing advanced technical guidance within an Infrastructure Service Delivery Team for a global food corporation. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the support, design, automation, and continuous improvement of the company\'s global network infrastructure. You will work closely with contracted service providers, internal teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the performance, security, and scalability of the enterprise network. Responsibilities: Serve as technology lead and provide technical expertise for all technical areas supported by the team Create and maintain system, process, and support documentation Provide 24x7 support as part of an on-call rotation (typically one week on, three weeks off) Utilize proactive monitoring to ensure system availability matches business requirements Define and negotiate contracts, service levels agreements, and outage windows Lead process excellence initiatives to improve daily operations Share technical communication updates with Global IT and the business Utilize Agile tools and processes to manage large scale cross-functional projects Create and communicate technology roadmaps to Global IT and the business Develop and maintain infrastructure standards Evaluate and introduce new technologies that deliver added value to the business Provide leadership and coaching to team members and stakeholders Manage consultants for major projects and support Requirements: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or a related technical field 5+ years of proven experience with the implementation of technology architectures and solutions to meet business requirements Experience leading technology initiatives and driving projects forward Extensive experience with Cisco routers and switches Strong experience with Fortinet firewalls Routing & Switching: Expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP; advanced switching (VLANs, STP, HSRP, EtherChannel, VXLAN) SD-WAN & WAN Technologies: Cisco Viptela, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, cloud interconnects (Azure, AWS) Network Security: Fortinet suite (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer), ACLs, NAT, VPNs (IPsec, SSL), Cisco Client, 802.1X Wireless Networking: Cisco WLCs, Meraki, 802.11 standards Network Automation: Python, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines Monitoring & Troubleshooting: SolarWinds, Wireshark, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco ThousandEyes, NetFlow Data Center & Load Balancing: Cisco Nexus, Citrix Netscaler/Client Able to meet...
