JOB REQUIREMENTS: Essential Functions: Production Oversee all aspects of plant operation for production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving. Coordinate plant activities through the Production Superintendent to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. Establish and monitor plant performance for production and quality standards. Assists with maintaining proper inventory levels. Ensure materials are staged for the next shift. Supervisory Supervises all plant personnel. Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Works directly with the Production Superintendent regarding all employee issues, including temporary employees. Assists the Production Superintendent with the hiring of plant personnel through interviews. First shift Supervisor responsible for administrative activities (timecard approval etc.) Safety Ensures all company safety guidelines/protocols are followed correctly as it relates to work and machine safety, housekeeping, machine maintenance, etc. Additional Duties This is not to be considered an all-inclusive list: Performs various other duties as assigned. Perform job duties in compliance with the policies and procedures of the department and company. Motivates staff and maintains a high level of morale among department personnel. Experience in machine maintenance and troubleshooting Experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Works well with management, peers, and employees. Five to seven years previous supervisory experience required.
