Dairy Farmers of America Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Schedule:

  • 3rd Shift - Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

  • Overtime based on business and production needs

  • Competitive hourly pay with a tiered advancement structure (multiple maintenance skill levels based on experience and education)

  • Starting at $30.00 per hour (including shift premium), pay rate is increased based on experience and education

Summary:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains production equipment and buildings to company standard.

Job Duties:

The list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • PC to PLC program maintenance, troubleshooting, and control devices

  • Effectively use hand tools and electric or pneumatic power tools

  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on equipment

  • Read electrical schematics

  • Diagnose cause of electrical and mechanical failure of operational equipment

  • Set up new equipment lines and equipment changeovers

  • Train production and other maintenance personnel

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete projects on due dates

  • Work on electrical systems up to 480 VAC

  • Strong knowledge in motor control circuits, automated valves and process controls

  • Ensure that all processes are followed

  • Complete daily work order log

  • Complete PM’s as assigned

  • Follow parts check out procedure

  • Follow all GMP standards

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Electrical Maintenance preferred or High School Diploma plus at least three years of related experience

  • Strong electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting skills

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis

  • Experience with a Windows-based computer system (Microsoft Office programs and Maintenance Work Order software)

  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as blueprints, schematics, work orders, etc.

  • Ability to write standard documentation and effectively present information to other employees

  • This position may require forklift certification
