Buyer II
Position Summary
The Buyer II is responsible for executing procurement activities of moderate complexity to support organizational operations. This role manages vendor relationships, negotiates pricing and contracts, analyzes purchasing data, and ensures the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The Buyer II works independently on assigned categories and collaborates cross-functionally to support business objectives while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and purchase materials, equipment, and services in alignment with business needs and budgetary requirements
Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and improve service levels
Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to support sourcing strategies
Process and manage purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation within ERP or procurement systems
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Finance, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to forecast demand and support production or service requirements
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and applicable regulations
Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, quality, and invoicing
Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports on purchasing activity, spend analysis, and supplier performance
May mentor or provide guidance to Buyer I or purchasing support staff
Skills and Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in a corporate or operational environment
Demonstrated experience negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel required)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment

This is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
