Payroll Data Entry Intern (New Hire Setup Support)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Data Entry Intern to support the setup and validation of new hire employee data. This entry-level role focuses on ensuring accurate data transfer between onboarding and payroll systems, as well as maintaining employee documentation. This is an in-person role located in Greeley from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday-Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and validate new hire information transferred between onboarding and payroll systems for accuracy and completeness

  • Cross-check employee data (e.g., name, address, pay rate, tax details) across multiple systems to ensure consistency

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information prior to final system entry

  • Upload, organize, and maintain digital employee documents in accordance with company standards

  • Perform basic data entry for new hires as needed to support the payroll team

  • Assist with employee offboarding processes, including data updates and documentation handling

  • Provide general clerical and administrative support to the payroll team as needed

  • Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information

Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel and data entry systems

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to follow processes and work with structured data

  • Good organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Exposure to HR, onboarding, or payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP)

  • Experience with document management or administrative support tasks

Physical Work Classification & Demands:

• Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

• The individual in this position will periodically walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read/see, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and finger/type. The frequency of each action varies by workflow and office activity.

• Walking - The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, boxes, cabinets, etc.

• Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, phone, computer, and computer printer.

• The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and external stakeholders regarding a variety of topics related to office administration.

• Constantly computes, analyzes, and conceptualizes mathematical calculations and formulas.

• Constantly reads written communications and views email submissions.

• The person in this position regularly sits in a stationary position in front of a computer screen.

• Visual acuity and ability to operate a vehicle as certified and appropriate.

• Rarely exposed to high and low temperatures

• Rarely exposed to noisy environments and outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind.

Compensation Range (Colorado Only)

$15.16 USD per hour.
