What You Can Expect
The Finance Manager serves as the Finance Business Partner and is responsible for managing all financial forecasting and planning processes of the Zimmer Biomet Costa Rica At Green Valley manufacturing entity as well as lending support to the consolidation and reporting process for the division.
This role collaborates with business leaders and their teams to ensure that the local Finance structure, processes, and practices are compliant with ZB and country governance and at the optimum level to drive and support the achievement of business objectives.
This role plays a critical part in aligning systems, processes, and teams to support manufacturing performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
How You'll Create Impact
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop budget instructions and submission templates for use by functional management.
Develop a budget timeline for data submissions, presentations, etc.
Communicate budget instructions and targets to local senior leaders.
Review initial budget submissions for reasonableness and completeness.
Work with local and regional finance personnel and other functions to resolve plan and forecast submission issues.
Review monthly forecast submissions. Analyze forecast versus actuals, plan, and prior forecasts.
Provide timely consolidated forecast information on a recurring and ad hoc basis.
Assist in the development of necessary financial reports to satisfy ZB’s internal and external reporting requirements.
Oversee all aspects of data gathering, interpreting, processing, consolidating, and reporting financial results.
Stay abreast of changes in reporting requirements and accounting developments and interpret the effects on areas of responsibility.
Helps to develop and report upon key financial metrics and assists in assessing the current results of the business.
Responsible for developing the financial reporting systems & processes that the business heavily relies upon.
Prepare reports, presentations, business communications, data summaries, and other documents of both a recurring and nonrecurring nature. Perform moderately complex analyses of data to draw inferences or conclusions to drive sound decisions.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial best practices related to policies, procedures, and processes.
Ensure compliance and accuracy in consistent reporting. Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities):
Bilingual with the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English fluently required.
Must understand discounted cash flow analysis, ROI, payback, etc.
Need a diverse understanding of accounting areas including cost accounting, distribution, sales and marketing, and R&D.
Need detailed knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing.
Need an excellent understanding of accounting within a global organization. This includes items such as foreign exchange, inter-company mark-ups, inter-company charges and allocations, and tax issues.
Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences at various organizational levels.

Your Background
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting. MBA is preferred.
At least seven years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance.
Experience managing and developing a staff of finance professionals is required.
Commensurate combination of education and experience may be considered.
Professional certification (such as a CPA or CMA) or specialized functional training is strongly preferred.
Experience in manufacturing operations preferred.
Experience supporting a start-up manufacturing site preferred.
Experience in a regulated environment preferred.
Experience in supporting a manufacturing site in a free trade zone rules and reporting
Experience with US GAAP and IFRS accounting
Advanced level of Excel and Microsoft suite
Previous experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
English level required advanced. Fully bilingual.
Previous experience with people management, cross‑functional leadership, project leadership)

Note: This role is based at the Green Valley manufacturing plant in Costa Rica
Onsite 100% In-person attendance will be required as need it with some flexibility when need it.
