What You Can Expect

The Facilities Manager leads the facilities and building technical services groups and provides local strategic leadership and oversight for facilities and related maintenance to minimize operational costs, improve reliability, and reduce unplanned events for site operations.

The role collaborates with business leaders and their teams to ensure that related practices, organization structure, management procedures, risk management, and continuous improvement activities are at the optimum level to drive and support the achievement of business objectives.

This role has full accountability of all Facilities aspects in the achievementn of all functional objectives and related tasks across the manufacturing site and provides leadership for skilled technical services personnel throuhgout the site.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Provide technical leadership, direction, and support for facilities management and all building technical services.

  • Oversee facility planning, design, layouts, and maintenance of offices, production spaces, utilities, etc.

  • Provide direction and support in scheduling building and grounds maintenance in support of site operations.

  • Develop and manage capital and expense budgets that align with company goals and strategies. Responsible for development and adherence to departmental budgets and capital expenditures including identification and implementation of cost savings opportunities.

  • Provide long range facilities projections and capital plans to meet the needs of growth and strategic direction.

  • Ensure facilities are designed, modified, and maintained in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Direct and approve designs, specifications, and contruction of renovations and additions of office, manufacturing, and distribution spaces.

  • Responsible for upkeep and beautification of facilities, grounds, and parking areas.

  • Collaborate to ensure correct preventative maintenance processes are in place and maintained.

  • Responsible for complying with all applicable safety and quality regulatory requirements within areas of responsibility. This includes active participation with any relevant audits and inspections.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Bilingual with the ability to read, write, and speak Spanish and English required.

  • Knowledge of a variety of engineering fields to address mechanical, electrical, and basic structural problems.

  • Knowledge of systems such as building management systems, building access systems, security cameras, and alarm systems.

  • Strong written, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences at various organizational levels.

  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to engage and influence internal business partners and team members at all levels of the organization.

  • Experience dealing with cultural integration, harmonization of terms and conditions of employment, and complex organizational change in a commercially focused environment.

  • Demonstrated history of taking initiative, meeting commitments, and assisting in the creation of new tools or solutions to achieve business results.

  • Proven track record of effective process management and improvement.

  • Ability to tolerate ambiguity, handle multiple priorities, and identify creative solutions to problems.

  • Proficient with MS Office and related software.

Your Background

  • Bachelors Degree in an operations, engineering, or related discipline required. Masters level education desireable.

  • At least four years of related experience required. At least eight years of experience is preferred and will be required without at least a Bachelors level of education.

  • Commensurate combination of education and experience may be considered.

  • People leadership experience required.

  • Experience in manufacturing stronglt preferred.

  • Experience supporting a start-up manufacturing site strongly preferred.

  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred.

Travel Expectations

  • Occasional regional travel and global travel will be required.
