Adecco US, Inc. Machine Operator- 3rd shift in Great Falls, South Carolina
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the safe operation of converting equipment at production standards. A machine operator 1 is certified to operate all napkin equipment within the facility. This position may rotate to different machines within the process as business needs dictate. The ability to multi-task and manage a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and productivity are key competencies, is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to all directions from Shift Leadership
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Adhere to all break schedules
Safety
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Clean critical parts identified in OJT manual, daily
Quality
Pack finished goods into correct inner packaging and boxes
Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material
Maintain high quality standards and address concerns with a sense of urgency
Ensure finished goods are within product specifications
Correct weight and Sheet Counts
Clean Cuts and Edges
Secure tape, shrink wrap, and outer packaging
Operation
Start-up, shut-down, and maintain and operate equipment
Lubricate critical parts identified in OJT manual, daily
Operate machine through the control panel
Operate machine at speed determined by equipment specifications
Operate machinery to production standard levels
Make minor approved machine adjustments to support equipment effectiveness
Notify shift leader of any mechanical, electrical or material issues
Ensure materials are properly set-up for equipment
Verify correct paper grade for products
Assist with Roll Changes
Thread paper through machine as needed
Perform product changeovers based on the planned schedule
Track production, waste and all downtime on computer
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be safety focused
Must be energetic with a positive attitude
Must have strong attention to detail
Must be highly motivated with the ability to work independently or as a team
Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
Availability to work any shift
Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse work environment
Mechanical aptitude is preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
Must be able to stand, walk, push, pull, twist and bend regularly to complete job tasks
Use of hands and arms in packing the finished product
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to 3 hours
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
