Level 2 trauma, comprehensive stroke, procedures, inpatient, outpatient, cardiac. Busy ED, able to manage busy schedule.
Shift: Seasonal 13 weeks -- Weekend (either Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Requirements: ARRT-CT, ARRT-R; MRT, BLS

Job Summary
The Seasonal CT Technologist PRN, under a Radiologist's supervision, performs CT procedures on patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider. This is done for diagnosing disease and injury according to established protocols.
Essential Functions of the Role
Performs high-quality CT procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner. Maintains production and quality of imaging by following established standards and procedures.
Utilizes AIDET to communicate with patients. Identifies patient service needs. Ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient. Establishes rapport with patients and others. Instructs and communicates with patients and their family about the test. Assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.
Prepare the patient and area for the procedure. Position the patient and adjust immobilization devices. Move equipment into position and adjust controls to set exposure factors.
Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques. Uses proper sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures and maintains hand hygiene.
Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation. Reports issues to management or the appropriate department. Assists in maintaining supplies inventory.
Ensures you are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.
Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation. This includes requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, shielding precautions, consent forms, policies, and procedures.
Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate system and according to department policies and standards for interpretation in a timely manner.

Demonstrates and maintains current knowledge, education, and skills for appropriate care of newborns, pediatric, young adults, adults, and geriatrics.
Able to serve as preceptor by providing quality training to new team members and on new services and initiatives.
Able to take call, if required.

QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
Requirements: ARRT-CT, ARRT-R; MRT, BLS
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Computed Tomography (CT).
