Job Title: Mechanical Technician Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our accessory shop team. This role focuses on performing mechanical work on generators and related equipment, ensuring reliability, safety, and optimal performance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and proficiency in soldering.
Responsibilities
Perform mechanical work on generators and related equipment.
Ensure the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
Conduct assembly and soldering tasks as required.
Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Use hand and power tools for mechanical repair and maintenance.
Essential Skills
2+ years of mechanical experience, ideally with generators or heavy equipment.
Proficiency with hand and power tools used in mechanical repair.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in shop conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
Experience in soldering, assembly, troubleshooting, and machining.
Knowledge of electronic assembly, wiring, and circuit board maintenance.
Work Environment
The role is based in a shop environment where you will be using various hand and power tools. You should be comfortable working with generators and related equipment, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
