Summary: Acts in the capacity as Shift Supervisor in their absence, and assists with the supervision, monitoring, and coordination of the table games department during their assigned shift. Provides suggestions and recommendations for improvement of the department, coordinates and works with other department personnel, representing table games management. Must be experienced with all aspects of the department, including scheduling, staffing, staffing development, game integrity, company policies, gaming regulations, MICS and operating standards.

Essential Job Functions:
Trains, mentors, counsels, and evaluates the table games department staff.
Monitors all table games employees, understand and maintain card control policies and guidelines.
Ensures proper staffing, by opening and closing games with the intent to ensure effective staffing and to maximize labor expenses. Effectively manage overtime. Rate Dealers and Floor Supervisors; ensure proper staffing levels on holidays and special occasions.
Opens and closes games, completes table bank fills and credits, and ensures all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed correctly.
Handles guest and employee disputes/complaints, mediates disputes, and provides professional and positive guest interactions.
Ensures proper tracking of guests.
Issues complimentary vouchers to guests and oversees complimentary vouchers issued on their respective shifts. Ensures that complimentary vouchers are issued properly and reports any discrepancies to the Assistant Manager or Manager in a timely manner.
Reviews and oversees Bravo system reports, and reviews all daily Bravo reports as relates to average bet, time played and overrides. Adheres to all system guidelines. Reports discrepancies to the Assistant Manager and Manager.
Monitors, sets and adjusts table limits to maximize company profits.
Due to Spirit Mountain Casino being a 24hour 7 day a week business, this position will require that the employee be available to work during all shifts including holidays as business needs dictate.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws and in alignment with SMGI’s Pride Values, Brand Promise and Business Vision.
Plans, assigns, and directs work, appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees.
Makes recommendations to the Shift Supervisors, Assistant Manager, Manager and/or Director for hiring and staff separations in accordance with company policies.
Ensures the hiring, training, promoting, assigning, disciplining and discharging of employees are in accordance with Tribal Law, including without limitation, the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO).
Knowledge of all Table Games and Game Protection and Integrity:
Thorough understanding of all game rules and strategies of play.
Must have knowledge of game protection on all games.
Must have a complete understanding of, and be able to pass a basic strategy test.
Must have a complete understanding of card counting, and be able to pass a card counting test, if required.
Must possess an excellent understanding of the policies and procedures of card and dice controls. Must understand the importance of integrity and protection issues regarding controlled items.
Knowledge of company computer software and hardware applications such as Microsoft applications Word and Excel.
Knowledge of and ability to apply supervisory principles, practices and methods.
Well versed in the opening and closing of games, completing table bank fills and credits, and ensuring all necessary paperwork and documentation is completed correctly.
Understand complimentary policy and guidelines. Must understand how to rate and evaluate a guests “comp value”.
Required Skill in:
Excellent guest service skills. Acts as a Mentor, leads by example and promotes employee growth and development.
Effectively supervises, leads employees and delegates tasks and authority, if necessary.
Excellent communication skills with both guests and employees. Must have good written and oral skills.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departmental employees and management.
Ensures the efficient operations of all table games; by ensuring proper dealing procedures are adhered to; as well as game speed, guest service standards and integrity issues.
Prepare reports relating to table trends, observations, and overall performance.
Effectively handling guest and employee disputes/complaints, mediating disputes, and providing professional and positive guest interactions.
Training, mentoring, counseling, and evaluating staff.
Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, and six (6) years casino tables work experience, including three (3) years full time Floor Supervisor, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a gaming environment, routinely subjected to tobacco smoke and loud noise.
Work is subject to routinely sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms.
Equipment and Tools Utilized:
- Equipment utilized includes personal computer, standard office equipment, telephone, and supplies and materials used in various table games, such as cards, card shufflers, dice, crap sticks, roulette balls and chips.
