Essential Functions: Receive training and assist in the startup, shutdown, and changeovers of all 3 extrusion lines, under the mentorship of experienced operators and shift supervisors. Contribute to ensuring that extrusion lines are running at optimal efficiency, with a focus on learning and applying troubleshooting skills. Assist in monitoring the production process to ensure that the output meets or exceeds the set standards ensuring compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. Learn and adhere to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Ensures compliance with all current company policies. Develop effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to function efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Engage in learning opportunities to suggest improvements for manufacturing processes. Willingness and flexibility to work on various shifts to receive comprehensive training and support production needs. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred Willingness to learn extrusion operations and engage actively in training sessions. Must have a Mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for hands-on work. Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) and ability to learn measurement tools. No coaching memos in the previous 12 months. Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation. Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check. Verified eligibility for employment in the United States. Environment and Physical Demands: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday; availability for non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, as part of a rotational training schedule. Continuously works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, and temperature fluctuations.) Occasionally works in a typical office setting which includes; Continuously sit, use of computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard, standard telephone, hearing and talking. Continuously walk, and stand. Occasionally drive fork lift. Occasionally stoop, sit, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear, max lift of 50 lbs. Supervisory Responsibilities: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities but offers a pathway to develop leadership skills within the manufacturing environment.
