Trinity Health Phlebotomist, Outpatient Float Team Lead, 1st Shift, 0.9 FTE in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description:

Leads and participates in a small team providing phlebotomy services to patients at a lab site. Ensures adherence to standards and policies. Trains new employees as assigned. Captures data, audits processes and reports selected metrics to management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Minimum High school diploma

Preferred Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School

Credentials/Licensure

Minimum ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency), or certification must obtain within 3 months of hire date.

Related Experience

Minimum Six months of phlebotomy experience.

Preferred One year of phlebotomy experience at MHSM.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum: Strong interpersonal and clerical skills. Strong customer service skills.

Computer Competency

Familiarity with standard desktop and windows-based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.

Physical/Mental

Minimum: Sitting for long periods of time; mobile; bending, stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities. Keyboard, repetitive tasks of typing and phone use.
